U.S. Supreme Court Puts Hammer Down On DUI Prosecutions

The U.S. Supreme Court recently ruled that prosecutors can no longer rely on lab results, by themselves, when prosecuting DUI and drug cases.  DUI defendants can now require the lab technician to testify live in court. This is a major shake up in the way DUI and drug cases will now be prosecuted, and appears to be a huge step forward in protecting individual rights as many defendants have been sentenced to prison in the past on faulty or dishonest lab results. Prosecutors can no longer use a piece of paper as a witness when prosecuting these types of charges.
